As many of you saw in our ad, BarkIT.com is a new website designed for and by comic book fans and creators. If you’re here, you’re in a small group of valuable early users. We thank you for the feedback we’ve already gotten and ask that you keep on giving it. You can post comments or email us at barkit (at) barkit.com.

A lot of you have been asking what this site is for, which makes sense since we’re still in super BETA mode and a lot is yet to come. …such as:

THE STUDIO: Let BarkIT realize your creative vision. From penciling to coloring to lettering, we’ll get the job done for you.

ARTIST ALLEY: A special forum that will allow creatives to easily find and collaborate with one another.

ONLINE READER: We’re still making improvements to this and we’ll be uploading new chapters to the books up there pretty regularly. And when we really launch, tons of hot titles will be available for you to read (across publishers…we’re not pushing any one company!).

UPLOAD YOUR WORK: You’ll be able to create your own online readers to showcase your work. You can be your own publisher!

NETWORK: Find your comic-loving friends on our website and keep up to date on what they’re publishing, liking, sharing, and more. We’re improving this functionality to make it more intuitive.

PROMOTIONS: As we get up and running, we’ll start holding contests with awesome prizes.

Over the next few months (we’re aiming towards October for our big launch with really cool content partners) we’ll be making a lot of changes both big and small to improve the user experience. In the meantime, sit tight…the best is yet to come.
